Olin Browne did not take up the game until he was 19 years old; he began playing as a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles. He is of Chilean descent and is fluent in Spanish. After winning the 1993 Monterrey Open in Mexico, he gave his victory speech in Spanish. In 2005, Olin picked up his third PGA Tour career victory at the Deutsche Bank Championship outside Boston. He also served as an assistant captain to Paul Azinger on the winning U.S. Ryder Cup team.

 

In May of 2009, he made his debut on the Champions Tour. He won his first career major championship at the 2011 U.S. Senior Open. He uses an Odyssey Putter. Outside golf, Olin is an avid fisherman.
