The Clubs Branden Grace Used To Win The RBC Heritage

Jeff Newton

Callaway staffer Branden Grace took control of the RBC Heritage with a stellar final round 66 and came away with his first Tour win in the U.S. and his second victory of the year. And he did it with a new XR 16 Sub Zero Driver and all Callaway clubs in the bag.

Branden first put his Sub Zero in play last month at the Dell Match Play in Austin. He really likes the shape, finish and specifically the sound. And he can flight the ball up or down, and shape it really well off the tee, which is especially key at Harbour Town.

Grace typically likes to play low spin drivers, and prior to the Sub Zero he had been playing a Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond, which he won with earlier this year. Phil Mickelson and Harris English are also among the players who are currently playing the Sub Zero Driver.

This week, Branden moved from a 14* Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway Wood to his new *16 gamer due in part to the course conditions. He said that he really liked the setup and called it “a weapon” for the event.

This is the third week in a row that one of our XR 16 Driver models has won on Tour. Two weeks ago, Lydia Ko used an XR 16 Pro to win the ANA Inspiration two weeks ago, and Danny Willett played an XR 16 in his first major win at Augusta. Congrats to Branden, and congrats to our Tour team on a great winning streak.
